We invite you to connect with fellow HDR candidates in a safe and confidential environment where you can openly discuss your challenges. Whether you are newly arrived at UNSW and in Australia or approaching the conclusion of your academic pursuits, you will find value in participating in this group, as you are not traversing this path alone.

Together, we will exchange insights, fortify our resilience, and unearth our strengths. Under the guidance of a qualified mental health clinician, you will acquire essential skills and strategies to adeptly navigate academic, interpersonal, and practical obstacles. Additionally, you will gain access to university resources and broader community services to address practical concerns.

We will convene every Thursday afternoon of each month to delve into topics of mutual interest and concern. Following a comprehensive focus group involving international PhD students across various faculties and schools, we have curated a list of themes for the remainder of 2024.

Regular attendance will not only enhance your mental health and well-being literacy but also provide opportunities to become a peer mentor, offering invaluable support to others facing similar challenges. Join us and let's navigate the complexities of the HDR journey together.
