Welcome to the quarterly networking meeting for members of Sustain.

We are excited to be featuring the work of Sustain members Carol Perdigão and Amy Tacey, who will speak respectively about their work with the Youth Food organisation Just Food Collective and the Common Ground Project Food Hub.

Carol will share the research of Just Food Collective into the troubling extent of student food insecurity at William Angliss Institute (see the Fed Up! report) and their work with Sustain on the Youth World Food Gardens project.

Amy, (pictured below), will speak about the CGP Food Hub project, which aims to "provide fair access and connection to regenerative agriculture through produce grown onsite, create a network of the region’s small-scale food producers, and support community empowerment through workshops and greater training and employment pathways for those facing barriers to employment in the region." If time permits (given that we will be having a special webinar the same evening with Ian Byrne MP and Dr Sharon Noonan-Gunning of the Right to Food Campaign in the UK), Nick Rose, Executive Director of Sustain, will briefly share recent updates on Sustain's work, in particular:

- the City of Melbourne's updated Food Policy

- the City of Banyule Urban Food Strategy

- recent meetings to progress the recommendations of the NSW Food Security Parliamentary Report

- progress on the Save Oakhill Food Justice farm campaign

These updates will be followed by questions and discussions and an invitation to share recent updates / projects / initiatives / ideas from Sustain members around the country.
