Sustainability & Climate Action for Local Governments in Australia is a practical, Australia-focused workshop for local government leaders and professionals who need to turn climate and sustainability challenges into better decisions and meaningful action.

The programme brings together the issues that increasingly shape council business, including climate risk, asset management, long-term financial planning, adaptation, mitigation, renewable energy, urban planning, circular economy, community and First Nations engagement, climate finance, governance and implementation.

What sets the programme apart is its Australian local government focus, with dedicated coverage of Asset Management Plans and Long-Term Financial Plans, supported by Australian council case studies and practical templates and checklists designed for application beyond the workshop.

Led by Prof Chris Lund, Murdoch University, ESG & Sustainability Leader, and Jag Walia, Sustainability & Climate Action Expert, the workshop is designed to build practical capability that participants can take back into their councils.
