Sustainability Challenge Exchange
Description
Hosted with support from Barclays Eagle Lab at CodeBase.
Bring one sustainability challenge you're stuck on. Leave with a plan for what to do about it.
The Sustainability Challenge Exchange is a working breakfast for 20 Edinburgh businesses, hosted by Heriot-Watt's Sustainable & Circular Innovation Lab in partnership with Edinburgh B Corp 500 and Edinburgh Napier Centre for Business Innovations and Sustainable Solutions.
Maybe it's whether replacing your gas heating is worth the investment. Maybe it's not knowing where your biggest waste or packaging opportunities are. Maybe it's a carbon reduction plan you know you need but don't have the data or expertise to start.
Whatever it is, bring it along.
Over breakfast, you'll:
Add your challenge to the Sustainability Challenge Wall and see what other Edinburgh businesses are wrestling with
Get it diagnosed with a Heriot-Watt or Edinburgh Napier researcher at a small table discussion: what's really blocking progress, and what expertise could help
Choose two Innovation Exchange stations to dig deeper: a hands-on circular economy exercise, one-to-one time with a researcher, or a session on what actually makes sustainability change stick inside a business using B Corp
You'll leave with a completed Sustainability Starter Card: your challenge, your barrier, and a concrete next step, whether that's a student project, a research collaboration, an innovation voucher, or just the right contact.
Places are limited to 20 businesses to keep it a working session.
