Sustainability Through Your Own Lens Photography Competition 2025 information session

Calling all Victorian students with a love for photography!

The ResourceSmart Schools 2025 Photography Competition, themed Building a Climate-Ready Future, opens soon and you’re invited to learn all about it.

Winners will receive cash prizes to support sustainability projects at their schools and be invited to the 2026 ResourceSmart Schools Awards, where their work will be showcased in a special exhibition of finalists’ images.

In this information session, attendees will:

• Learn how the competition works, including how to submit an entry, terms and conditions, eligibility, and more.

• Discover how to turn this competition into a classroom activity using resources provided by Sustainability Victoria.

• Have the opportunity to ask questions.

Competition Overview

• Capture a photo answering: What does Building a Climate-Ready Future mean to you?

• Submit a photo plus a short reflection (up to 100 words) on climate change adaptation.

Key Dates:

• Entries Open: Wednesday 23 July

• Entries Close: Friday 19 September

• Winners’ announcement: October 16
