Description

Join us for a tour through the Parkville Community Garden, where we'll pluck the finest fruits and produce and turn it into a delicious drink at the Student Kitchen!

Enjoy the seasonal taste of September, all whilst fostering a deeper connection to the environment.

Hosted by Shuning (Aurora) Wang, a third year Bachelor of Science student who has a passion for healthy eating and nutrition. Aurora leads the Health Promotion Program's Healthy Cooking workshops where she made over 1000+ dumplings with students. She was previously a Peer Health Advocate student volunteer and part of the Healthy Eating and Nutrition Society. Her recipes are a careful curation of her Chinese cultural background, her mother's secrets and the seasons.

Supported by the Health Promotion program who are a small team of staff and student volunteers who support student health and wellbeing by leading evidence-based and student-informed campaigns and activities at the university. They also help to raise awareness of the wellbeing support services and resources, and run events for wellbeing days such as R U OK? Day, Uni Mental Health Day and much more. Their mission centres around four pillars of health: Healthier Communities, Healthier Minds, Healthier Relationships and Healthier Bodies.

We will be meeting at the Community Garden (Monash Rd, Parkville) to collect our harvest before heading to the Student Kitchen.
