Sustainability Week: Native Bee Wisdom + Bee Hotel Making

Join us for a hands-on Native Bee Hotel Building Workshop where you'll learn how to create eco-friendly habitats and gardens for native bees!

Using natural materials like hardwood logs and hollow stems, you'll construct your own bee hotel while discovering the critical role native bees play in supporting biodiversity.

About the facilitator:

Clancy Lester is a native bee nerd, science communicator, and founder of @beesandblossoms.aus, dedicated to pollinator conservation and public education. With a background in ecology and deep respect for First Nations knowledge systems, Clancy’s work combines scientific research, storytelling, and community engagement to advocate for biodiversity and environmental justice. Clancy is an ABC Trailblazer, was a Wattle Fellow and is passionate about making science accessible, while creating a love and appreciation for bees and other bugs.
