Sustainability Week: Weaving Sustainability and Responsibility into Procurement
Event description
Have you ever thought about the sustainability of the products you purchase? Did your thoughts extend beyond just environmental sustainability?
The University of Melbourne is actively embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its procurement practices, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing. This commitment is not just a policy but a core component of the University's broader strategic vision, as outlined in its Sustainability Plan 2030. The plan sets ambitious goals for the institution to be a leader in sustainable practices, with procurement playing a pivotal role in achieving these objectives.
Hear from Jase King (ESG Lead) and Olga Ell (Procurement Manager) about what the University is currently doing to weave sustainability and responsibility into procurement.
