Sustainable and Low Waste Gardening Series - Workshop 3 - Wicking Beds in Small Spaces
Event description
Sustainable and Low Waste Gardening Series Workshop 3-Â Â Wicking Beds in Small SpacesÂ
Do you want a thriving garden that waters itself?
Wicking beds are a type of garden bed that requires far less water than traditional garden beds.
These garden beds are called wicking beds due to the process of the water wicking up from the base of the garden bed. No need to water from the top with a wicking bed because all the water sits at the bottom!
In this workshop - presented by sustainability educator Peg Davies -Â learn all about wicking beds and how to create one at home.
Discover the elements required for a perfect wicking bed to enhance your garden and keep your plants happy and healthy all throughout summer.
Enjoy an easy to maintain garden bed that can grow on any surface.
This workshop is proudly presented by the Town of Cambridge in partnership with Switch Your Thinking.
