Sustainable Aviation Fuel Chengdu Forum (7 Nov 2025)

The UniSA Sustainable Aviation Team is committed to researching decarbonisation strategies for the aviation industry. In 2024, our Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project successfully secured funding from the National Foundation for Australia–China Relations (NFACR). Through this initiative, we are working closely with key industry stakeholders in Australia and China, hosting a series of SAF seminars and forums to address SAF transition challenges and strengthen business collaboration.

We will host five SAF forums in 2025—in Shanghai (April), Guangzhou (July), Hong Kong (July), Chengdu (November), and Melbourne (November). These events will explore the future of SAF, highlight Australia's potential in SAF feedstock export and production, and foster deeper cooperation between Australia and China on SAF.

As part of the The 3rd Annual Conference of the ATRS China Chapter, our Chengdu SAF Forum has received strong support from the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS) China Chapter, the School of Mathematical Sciences, and the School of Economics and Management at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. The 3rd Annual Conference of the ATRS China Chapter is set to host a distinguished group of keynote speakers, including Professor Anming Zhang (Chair of the ATRS, University of British Columbia), Professor Gianmaria Martini (University of Bergamo), Professor Xiaowen Fu (Hong Kong Polytechnic University), Professor Hai Yang (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology), and Professor Zhiyuan Liu (Southeast University). The event will also see the attendance of experts and academics from top universities worldwide, including the University of International Business and Economics, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Xihua University, and Beihang University.

本次成都 SAF 业界交流论坛是第三届世界航空运输学会中国分会年会（The 3rd Annual Conference of ATRS China Chapter）的重要组成部分，获得了世界航空运输学会中国分会、电子科技大学数学科学学院、电子科技大学经济与管理学院大力支持。第三届世界航空运输学会中国分会年会邀请到多位全球顶尖学者担任主旨演讲嘉宾，包括世界航空运输学会（ATRS）主席、不列颠哥伦比亚大学 Anming Zhang 教授，University of Bergamo 经济科学系 MARTINI Gianmaria 教授，香港理工大学工业及系统工程学系 Xiaowen Fu 教授，香港科技大学土木与环境工程学系 Hai Yang 教授，东南大学交通学院 Zhiyuan Liu 教授，以及还邀请到了对外经济贸易大学、香港理工大学、西华大学、北京航空航天大学等海内外知名高校的专家学者共同与会。
