Sustainable Denim Paint & Sip Workshop with Second Spark Studios

Learn to upcycle your old denim clothing into wash-safe, wearable art in this hands-on painting workshop!

Hosted by Savannah from Second Spark Studios, this session will teach you how to create your own hand-painted designs on recycled denim fabric. No artistic experience necessary! Plus, you can take home and wear your creations after the session, with a detailed care guide included.

Location: Canning Town Hall

Tickets Include:

• A complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival (alcoholic or non-alcoholic options provided)
• Tea, coffee and juice throughout the session
• All painting materials provided!

Important Information:

• If you select a BYO Denim ticket, please bring a piece of old denim clothing to paint on during the session. We recommend a jacket, however any denim fabric is suitable. Avoid bringing the thin faux denim used on shirts. 

• If you do not wish to provide your own denim, you can add on a jacket from our collection or a set of three recycled denim iron-on patch sheets to your ticket for an additional cost. You will be able to select your jacket from a wide range of options on the day. Our usual range includes women's size 6-18+, men's size XS-L, and some smaller kids' pieces. Please contact us directly if you have any specific sizing or colour requests; while we will do our best to accommodate these, we cannot make any guarantees regarding specific availability as all our stock is sourced secondhand.

• If you purchase a BYO Denim ticket and forget to bring your denim on the day, you are welcome to purchase a piece at the event, which you can pay for on the spot.

• This event is strictly for ages 16 and over. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

• Canning Town Hall is a heritage venue. Please be mindful of taking care of this beautiful space while working, eating and drinking

• Fabric paints won't just stay on your denim; they will also stay on the clothes you're wearing! If you're prone to making a mess, we recommend wearing painting clothes or bringing an apron.
