As we face growing environmental challenges, how we manage waste and water in our homes and gardens plays a crucial role in reducing our ecological footprint. With landfill waste continuously rising and water becoming an increasingly precious resource, now is the time to adopt sustainable practices that help conserve and regenerate our environment.

Join Transition South Barwon for an informative and practical seminar with
Meg Blair and Mauricio Latino as they share strategies for creating low-waste, water-wise households and gardens.

This session will explore:

✅ Reducing household waste – practical steps to minimise landfill contributions
✅ Composting & organic waste solutions – turning food scraps into valuable nutrients
✅ Water conservation strategies – rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse, and efficient irrigation
✅ Sustainable garden practices – mulching, soil improvement, and natural fertilizers

By making small, intentional shifts, we can reduce waste, conserve water, and build more sustainable homes and communities. Whether you’re new to sustainability or looking to refine your existing practices, this seminar will provide practical solutions that are easy to implement.

This is a free community event, and we encourage attendees to bring a small contribution for a shared afternoon tea—a great opportunity to connect with others interested in sustainable living.

This event is proudly run by Transition South Barwon in partnership with the Grovedale Neighbourhood House and funded by the City of Greater Geelong.
