Suzanne Jarvie

Suzanne Jarvie is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter whose music channels profound personal loss into luminous, genre-blurring storytelling. Her 2014 debut Spiral Road - written after her son's near-fatal accident and with no prior songwriting experience - earned international acclaim and a nomination for Best Concept Album at the Independent Music Awards. Her second album In the Clear (2019) won the Ontario Arts Council Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award.

Her third album mother's day (2026) has been called "one of those rare albums that feels more like a work of art than a collection of songs." Rootstime.be in Belgium put it simply: "Suzanne Jarvie's crystal clear voice is a joy to hear across all the songs on this record/" Rooted in folk, Americana, and piano-led songwriting, drawing comparisons to Joni Mitchell, PJ Harvey, and Jackson Browne.

Suzanne Jarvie est une auteure-compositrice-interprète basée à Toronto dont la musique transforme une profonde perte personnelle en récits lumineux qui brouillent les frontières entre les genres. Son premier album, Spiral Road (2014) – écrit après l’accident presque mortel de son fils et sans aucune expérience préalable en composition –, a été salué à l’échelle internationale et lui a valu une nomination dans la catégorie « Meilleur album conceptuel » aux Independent Music Awards. Son deuxième album, In the Clear (2019), a remporté le prix Colleen Peterson de composition musicale décerné par le Conseil des arts de l’Ontario.
