SUZETTE HERFT: SONGS THAT SHAPED ME
DOORS OPEN 7PM | SHOW BEGINS 7.30PM | $23 + BF
Suzette Herft is a Melbourne based singer-songwriter, contemporary troubadour and recipient of the 2019 Folk Victoria award for services to folk music. But 44 years ago, Suzette dipped her toe into the professional world of singing - earning $80 for her 3 sets at the once famous Spaghetti Theatre in Melbourne and then, not long after at The Pancake Parlour in the city. She was just trying to earn some extra money at the time to go overseas, whilst working at a regular job in customer service at Telstra (formerly known as Telecom). Suzette never thought that this would be the beginning of an amazing adventure as a professional musician.
To mark this special occasion, Suzette is going to recreate her setlist and sing you the songs from that time. Come and join Suzette and sing along to those songs stuck in your memory bank.
