SVA Camp 2025 - WEST COAST
Event description
WE’RE SO EXCITED FOR THE LAST CAMP OF THE YEAR!
When: 10 am, Friday 19th Sep – 7 pm, Sunday 21st Sep ⛺️🌲🌊
This will be an awesome opportunity to help out a community a little further away from home and make great friends throughout the weekend. Camps are a great way to meet new people, explore new places and volunteer with communities outside of the wider Canterbury region.
We’re happy to announce SVA's second camp this year will take place on the WEST COAST, with activities taking place in the surrounding areas. We will be staying in Mokihinui, about a 40-minute drive north of Westport.
We will be staying at Gentle Annie Seaside Accommodation!
To shake things up, we have TWO accomodation options:
Tenting: We really encourage you to bring a tent if you are able to, but we can provide tents if you don't have them. Please bring your own sleeping bags and sleeping mats!
"Gentle Annie has a beautiful camping ground at the mouth of the Mokihinui River. Sheltered and private camping sites are set amongst landscaped gardens, all within a couple minutes walk to the river and beach."Rata Lodge: Please bring your own sheets and pillowcases!
"The Rata Lodge is situated on an elevated site overlooking the tidal estuary and river meeting the Tasman Sea. The decks off of each bedroom offer a great site to watch the famous West Coast sunsets and twilights. The spacious, equipped, open-plan kitchen, living and dining room with wood-burning fireplace, face a backdrop of native forest clad hillside."
Tickets are only $20 for tenting or $60 for the lodge for the whole weekend, with TRANSPORT, FOOD, and ACCOMMODATION included. Tickets are limited and they always sell out fast, so get in quick to secure your spot! 😁
Get ready to get stuck into some volunteering and a weekend of fun! See you there! 🔥🔥
