There are 350,000 immigrants and refugees who call Denver home - about 12% of our city’s population. Join our next Solution Session event to hear from local leaders who are championing programs and services that support individuals and families throughout different stages of their immigration and resettlement journeys. They’ll share about the diversity of immigrant experiences and how they work with individuals to promote upward mobility, confidence and wellbeing - qualities that benefit all of us collectively!

Meet our presenters:

Kanitha Snow - Board Chair, The Village Institute
Adam Kogeman - Administrator, State of Colorado - Office of New Americans
Allie Needham - Adult Education & Career Pathway Services Program Manager, Spring Institute
+ more to be announced!

The Venue - The Village Institute
This session is hosted in-person at The Village Institute’s family support center for refugee and immigrant families in Northwest Aurora. Their special community space convenes immigrant families who engage in career readiness training, early childhood education, mental health services, and more!

We hope you will join us on this day to engage in critical conversations and experience community connection in a new way at The Village Institute. Plus, food and beverages will be provided!

What We’ll Do

Socialize and connect! Chat with interesting people who want to make an impact in Denver and get those collaborations started.
Listen and learn! Presenters will each have a short amount of time to speak on their work and the issues facing immigrants and refugees in Denver. There will be time to ask questions of each presenter and to catch up with them after the formal presentations.
Enjoy morning coffee and breakfast! To highlight the diversity of Denver’s immigrant and refugee communities we will be serving food and beverage from a local Burmese restaurant. You won’t want to miss trying out this cuisine.
