Lismore, babez, we’re coming back. Not that we ever left - we are still here and as queer as ever!
Last year Swamp Thang came to life just a few weeks after the deluge. The event was part of a fundraiser for the Queers of Lismore GoFundMe campaign and brought together our local community and surrounding residents for a vibrant, defiant evening that raised $6,000 out of the $45,000 total that went to flood affected LGBTIQA+ people. This year the Make~Do Collective return with your hot favourites, this time to help raise funds to continue the We Will Survive creative recovery project.

So, let’s gather once again to celebrate our strength, our softness, our support, our survival. Let’s take this opportunity to celebrate OUR QUEER COMMUNITY! We’ve risen from the sludge and brushed off the mud, but ain’t nothing gonna stop this SWAMP THANG from returning! 🌈🦠🧟✨
Please note - This event will take place in the upstairs dining area. If you have specific access requirements please email email@example.com. We are committed to making our events as accessible as possible and acknowledge that this event does not meet community needs.
