This event has passed Get Tickets

Event description

Join Visual Artist, Christine Wrest-Smith and Avian Ecologist, Professor Kate Buchanan on our 5th NatureArt workshop. Our focus for this session will be the swans of Swan Bay.

We will meet at the turn off to the Marine and Freshwater Discovery Centre.  LOOK FOR THE BLUE SBEA FLAG!    We are hoping we can see swans close by at this location.

We will begin with a short walk and talk with Professor Kate. Kate is an engaging communicator and is currently editor-in-chief of Birdlife Australia's scientific ornithology journal, Emu.

We then drive in convoy to the beautiful St Georges Anglican Church, Old School Hall, Cnr Hobson Street and Learmonth Street, Queenscliff for the Art Workshop.  This is a change to the original location!

Christine will guide participants through drawing and watercolour techniques. Christine is an established visual artist and sought-after teacher of art across many settings. Her life and work are inspired by the natural world. Christine now lives on the Bellarine.

*This workshop is for beginner and more experienced artists.

*All art materials will be provided.

*Please bring binoculars (we will have a couple of spares) and sturdy shoes for walking.
