Sweet and Sassy 16
Event description
It’s been an amazing 16th trip around the sun for Low Rez Melbourne Male Choir, and we’re back in the city for two final shows this year, this time at Fitzroy North’s Reid Street Auditorium on Saturday, November 2 (3pm and 7.30pm).
This year’s end of year extravaganza - themed “Sweet and Sassy 16” - not only celebrates our coming of age (we were founded in 2008) but also features a nostalgic selection of pop hits that have resonated with audiences over the years.
For those of you who don’t know us (where have you been?), we’re a 50-strong ensemble of high tenors, low tenors, baritones, and basses, musically directed by renowned conductor and mezzo soprano Ursula Paez, complemented by assistant musical director and noted accompanist Geoff Urquhart.
This coming-of-age journey through the trials and tribulations of young adulthood – with a few questionable fashion choices – is sure to end the year on a high.
We’ll be joined by the stunningly talented ShOut Youth Chorus.
Whether you're a returning fan or a first-time attendee (and regardless of how long it’s been since you were 16), dust off your old mixtapes and join us for an evening of fun, with a touch of teenage angst thrown in for good measure!
Last year’s Divas show was a sellout success, we recommend getting your tickets now to save any disappointment at the door.
If you'd like to attend the show but are unable to, please show your support by buying a Supporter Ticket!
