Sweet As | National Reconciliation Week Movie Night with RAA

This National Reconciliation Week, we’re inviting you to a free viewing of the film Sweet As at the Capri Theatre, Goodwood.

Please join us at this special event on Wednesday 28 May at 6:30pm where we’ll be joined by Kaurna Traditional Owner for a Welcome to Country before the commencement of the film.

Building relationships is an important part of RAA’s commitment to reconciliation, and this event marks a valuable education opportunity for our employees and our community to learn and reflect during National Reconciliation Week.

About Sweet As:
Sweet As is a heartfelt Australian coming-of-age drama that follows 16-year-old Murra, an Indigenous girl grappling with a turbulent home life in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. After a crisis with her mother, Murra's uncle, a local police officer, intervenes by enrolling her in a youth photography program designed for at-risk teens. Reluctantly, she joins a diverse group of peers—each with their own struggles—and embarks on a transformative road trip through the rugged outback.​

Premiering at the 2022 Melbourne International Film Festival, the film has garnered critical acclaim and won multiple awards, including the Crystal Bear at the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival.
