Sweet Little Hellfire

Event description

Unlock the invisible world of plants, with me, official plant nerd, Kelsey (BSc.Adv.Hons). Learn how plants are adapted to our unique and ancient landscape. Plants are defending themselves against cockatoos, readying themselves against fire, and attracting bees and honeyeaters. Connect with the local environment through all your senses, including touch, taste and smell. Ask all of your silly questions!

Little Hellfire is a sweet smaller gem of a beach in Cape Le Grand National Park. Wander slowly down to Little Hellfire and back through our endangered shrublands down to a shady creek, and along the white sands of Little Hellfire.

Enjoy that day made damper with quandong jam and tea!  A very good chance that the dolphins will be frolicking too! Park fees included.

Please bring walking shoes, water and a hat. Bring your camera too! The wind if low in the morning, but if in doubt, a windproof jacket never hurts in Esperance.

Meet at the park gate / ticket box. I have a silver VW golf. Self-drive to Hellfire Bay.

Kids 0-5 free.

NB: A full refund will be provided where the tour is no longer possible due to COVID-19 restrictions or weather conditions that are unsafe such as very high rainfall or high fire danger.
