Official opening of 'Sweetheart' in The Hive Gallery

Patrick Morison is a Queanbeyan artist that won The Hive Exhibition Award in the 2019 QPRC Regional Arts Awards. His show "Sweetheart’ will now open on the 25 November. With a bold use of colour and line this show will bring both portraits and scenes inspired by Lake Burley Griffin and seeing birds within the landscape.“My paintings are inspired by a fondness for beauty in the human face and figure” Patrick explains. “They have particular reference to Hugh Ramsay, a great Australian painter of the late 19th and early 20th century, showing a beautifully composed and sensitive love of his subject.”
