Swim Serpentine 2026

Take the plunge at the iconic Swim Serpentine and challenge yourself in the heart of London’s beautiful Hyde Park. Whether you’re aiming for your first open water swim or pushing for a longer distance, this is an unforgettable experience — all while raising vital funds for seriously ill children and their families supported by Samuel’s Charity.

Swimmers can choose their distance on the day: half mile, 1 mile, or 2 miles, making this event suitable for a wide range of abilities.

The course is clearly marked and easy to follow. Everyone swims clockwise around large inflatable buoys marking the route from start to finish. At each end, four big pink buoys signal a 180-degree turn. Faster swimmers can overtake by staying close to the turning buoys, while smaller red buoys guide more relaxed swimmers around a wider turning path.

This is a charity place for Samuel’s Charity, with a fundraising target of £345. Every pound raised helps provide comfort, care and vital support to seriously ill children and their families, both in hospital and at home.
