Swing City - Live - Apr 2025

Swing Patrol Melbourne CBD has a new home, with a big beautiful dancefloor, and we're throwing a big bash, with a live band!

Two classes, with CBD anchors, the ever-popular Sarah Wheaton and Josh Varcoe. Followed by social dancing with live music from Claire Patti & The Scholars of Swing, plus our favourite DJs in the band breaks. 

CBD regulars, old-timers and dancers from all across Swing Patrol and the wider community are welcome to join us, and check out the new location.

Schedule:
6pm - 7pm Total Beginner lesson – All welcome, no experience necessary, no partner required.
7.15 - 8.15pm Beginner Plus lesson - With the basics under your belt, try some fun moves and combos.
8.15pm - 10.30pm – Social Dancing at Swing City - Enjoy two sets of swinging music by a live band, plus guest performers and a few surprises.
*Please arrive for classes a few minutes before the advertised start time, to check in and be ready to dance at the start of the lesson.*

Book for Classes only (either or both), or for Classes + Social Dancing, or for Social Dancing only. This is a special event, and the venue has a fixed capacity, so we may sell out. There may not be tix available at the door, so guarantee your place by booking online.

LOCATION: Melbourne City Ballroom, Level 3/673 Bourke St Melbourne (enter from Godfrey St, follow the signs and take the lift to the 3rd floor).
**External building doors close at 9.00pm. If arriving after 9.00, text the number on the door sign and someone will be with you shortly. Or come earlier to maximise your dance time. **

Waitlist: If sold out, text Swing Patrol on 0412 309 311 with your name, the event name, and your preferred ticket type, and Swing Patrol will text you back if tickets become available. If the booking page shows "Access code required", it means the event is currently fully booked and tix are only available via the Waitlist.
