Swing Patrol East Brisbane - Level Up Your Swing Dance Skills course

Step into Autumn with a fresh focus on your swing dancing! This five-week course is grounded in 8-beat rhythms but brings an exciting, holistic approach to elevate your dancing. Whether you’re a lead or a follow, this course offers something for everyone looking to refine their skills, connect more deeply with the music, and enjoy swing dancing like never before.

Here’s what we’ll focus on :

• Musicality: Learn to truly dance with the music. Discover how to interpret musical phrases, understand song structures, and dance in and out of breaks. Follows will gain tools to add musicality both with and without a lead, creating moments of magic on the dance floor. By the end of the course, you’ll have a deeper understanding of the nuances that make a musical dancer truly captivating. 

• Flow & Power: Master the art of seamless movement. Learn how to use the floor effectively, connect with your partner, and develop a sense of dance flow that feels and looks amazing. Together, we’ll refine your technique to ensure every step makes sense visually and physically for both leads and follows. 

• Variations: Add flair to your dancing with creative variations! These moves will keep your dancing fresh, inspiring both you and your partner every time you hit the floor. With a range of stylish options, you’ll never feel stuck or repetitive again. 

• Movement: Dancing isn’t just about learning “moves”—it’s about understanding movement. This course will guide you in exploring the fundamentals that bring your dancing to life, helping you express yourself with confidence and grace.
