Description
SWOOP IN WITH COLOUR
An acrylic painting workshop with artist Janie Porter using big brushes + palette knives.
We will create 2 works: 1 on canvas, 1 on board.
Janie will give a demonstration of techniques + guide participants to create their own landscape works.
This will be a confidence builder for those who feel they are too careful + a helpful introductory session for those who are nervous + don't know where to start.
*All materials provided.
*Wear old clothes for painting.
Bio
Janie Porter is a New Zealander who lives on Banks Peninsula/Horomaka.
She trained in England, New Zealand + at the University of Fine Arts in Hanoi, Vietnam.
She is known for her work in portraiture, landscape, seascape + birds. While working in various mediums, usually with a palette knife, she is constantly experimenting with transparency + form.
