SydHerbs Holiday Herbal Trivia Night

Hello fellow SydHerbies!

Please join us for an evening of Holiday Herbal Trivia, fun, food and festivities!

The night will be run by the wonderful Regina Lasaitis and Michelle Mravunac, with questions coming from their wealth of combined knowledge and experience spanning across years of work in the industry. Be prepared to think about our beloved herbal Materia Medica, vast history of herbal medicine and even take part in a round or two of 'guess-that-herb' with blind tastings sure to test your knowledge. 

We will be providing refreshments and snacks as usual with a slight twist to provide more of a pub trivia feel. Ideally, people will be in teams of 4-6 and work together to answer the herbal head-scratches that are coming your way. If you do not have a team on the night, do not worry! There will be plenty of space for everyone to participate and we welcome people to bring anyone they would like. 

The SydHerbs Holiday Herbal Trivia night will begin at 6pm with a 630pm trivia start and finish up at 830pm. There will be prizes for the winners of Herbal Trivia as well as a prize for the best Christmas outfit on the night, so be sure to fish those antlers, gaudy jumpers and glittery earrings out from the back of the cupboard. The bigger and brighter the better!

So, please join us for an evening of community and a celebration of all things herbal! There is nothing quite like our amazing SydHerbs village and we are looking forward to reflecting on the year thats been and making plans together for the one that is yet to come.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT OUR HOSTS

Michelle Mravunac  

Michelle Mravunac is an experienced naturopath and nutritionist who has worked in private practise for the last 25 years. She has extensive experience treating a range of conditions including autoimmune disease, female reproductive disorders, and mental health conditions. She has completed a Master of Human Nutrition and a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy). This had led to an interest in contributing to the research on complementary and alternative medicine, including being part of research teams with the World Naturopathic Federation. Michelle also lectures and supervises student clinic in the naturopathic and nutritional medicine departments at Torrens University in Sydney, Australia. She has a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of naturopaths.


Regina Lasaitis - MHSc(HerbMed) BAppSc(BiomedSci) AdvDipNat DBM DRM mNHAA

Regina Lasaitis is a Masters qualified Medical Herbalist and Naturopath with over 25 years' experience. Prior to her training in complementary medicine, Regina was a biomedical scientist, and she combines her medical and scientific knowledge with her skills in naturopathy. She has a clinical practice in Sydney where she provides treatment and management of all health issues. With her passion for educating and training future practitioners in the field of complementary medicine, Regina has over 10 years' experience as an educator of Western herbal medicine and naturopathy. She is currently a lecturer and student clinic supervisor at Torrens University. Regina is an NHAA-approved supervisor and offers mentoring and support
services for newly graduated practitioners.
