Event description

THIS 2 day workshop allows to take home what you have fermented.

Starts Saturday 10 am - 1 pm Sunday starts at 1pm - 4 pm

Fermenting foods as a means to improve the diversity of the Gut microbiome protects against leaky gut syndrome and regulates appropriate immune responses .

The probiotic industry is booming because we are not getting the biodiversity in our gut microbiome due to many factors .

  • Chemically grown food results in loss of biodiversity in the soil and root microbiomes this probably results in a loss of biodiversity in the gut microbiome . You will learn why .

  • Stress states promotes adverse microflora in the gut so some meditation exercises will be suggested .

  • Sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise depletes gut microbiome diversity .

  • limited intake of prebiotic foods like vegetables , fruits , nuts seeds and legumes .

All of the above results in 3 dysfunctional immune responses

  1. Hypersensitivity reactions to foods (think allergies).

  2. Decreased immune surveillance and a potential increase risk of cancer

  3. auto-immune diseases due to foods leaking across the gut wall and the immune cells create antibodies to this food that in turn , those antibodies react against self .

What is the one thing you can add to your diet that confers the most health benefits ? ……. Some fermented food/s before or with each meal .

The workshop will answer this question by learning to ferment foods to have optimal gut health .

What is the best ingredients to ferment to get prebiotics , probiotics and post-biotics ?

The 2 day workshop is a series of 3 workshops held during the year to go from simple ferments to gain confidence and in workshops 2 and 3 more exciting challenges.

Join our fermenting community to taste the difference , feel the difference and make a difference to your life and your loved ones.

Here's to your inner health
