    Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid.
    It equips participants to:

    • Identify potential suicide ideation.
    • Engage in methods that effectively address suicide risk.
    • Comprehend the reasons behind suicidal thoughts.
    • Collaborate to assess risk and enhance safety.
    • Establish connections with additional support.

    ASIST is valuable in everyday interactions with family, friends, colleagues, or team members, as well as in professional and volunteer capacities.

    Participants in ASIST will:
    • Openly and directly discuss suicide risk and safety.
    • Reflect on how personal attitudes and experiences influence assistance.
    • Master and implement a model for suicide first aid intervention.
    • Explore self-care and support strategies for helpers.

    workshop fee is $350.

    Parking is available at multiple Wilson car parks in the CBD.

    Catering includes morning tea and lunch. Please specify any dietary needs during registration.
    All course materials are supplied.


    Attendance is required on both days.

    The dress code is smart casual.

    Please arrive by 8:15 am on the first day and 8:30 am on the second day for a timely start. Sessions conclude at 4:30 pm each day.

    *Registration will close at the end of business hours on May 15th to allow adequate time for planning and securing resources. If the minimum number of participants is not met, the workshop will be cancelled.
