Sydney Children's Choir Winter Concerts
Event description
Gwyther - SCC Winter Concerts (Training Choirs & William Barton Choir)
Lennie Gwyther made headlines around the world in 1932 when, at age 9, he rode his horse to the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge from over a thousand kilometres south. Celebrated by locals along the way, and dodging a bushfire, Gwyther was given afternoon tea at Canberra's Parliament House and a roaring reception at Martin Place upon arrival. He also made headlines in London.
SCC's Training Choirs and William Barton Choir present two delightful morning concerts featuring the premiere of a new song cycle written especially for the choirs by Lachlan Massey.
The choir are joined by special guests the Luminescence Children's Choir from Canberra, conducted by AJ America.
