Join Sydney web content strategists, content designers, information architects, website managers, digital producers and UX designers to discuss crafting the best digital strategy for users.

This is a fun and collaborative meetup run by Elle from Elle Geraghty Content Strategy :)

Today's topic

Government service delivery - why is digital content so important?

From Australia Post to Service NSW, we have seen a high investment in digital content as a mechanism to support the delivery of Australian Government Services. Digital excellence is expected from Australian citizens who no longer want to spend time waiting in a queue at their local shopping centre to renew their driver's licence or apply for the baby bonus.

We will hear from three leaders in Australian Government Content about their take on what is working and what isn't.

Panellists

Tash Webb, from NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and Liz Leigh and Peter Leichlein from Service NSW.

Tash Web

Tash has spent eight years loving her Content Team Leader role with NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service despite never having imagined she would one day be part of the public service. Before this, Tash worked as a content strategist and producer, communications manager, media consultant, and campaigner for various not-for-profit organisations, a UX agency, and an energy efficiency start-up.

Liz Leigh

Liz is a Content Design Lead at Service NSW. She works in the digital product space, supporting a community of nearly 30 Content Designers.

Throughout her career, she has contributed to the rollout of design systems, championed and advocated for content design within teams and grown content design capabilities in large organisations, including UNSW, the ATO and SNSW.

While at Service NSW, she has helped the content design team to nearly double in size. Currently, she's passionate about building leaders in content design, getting us a seat at the table and showcasing the amazing value of our practice.

Peter Lechlein

Peter Lechlein's content strategy and design experience in government and the not-for-profit sector spans over 20 years.
He currently leads the Digital Profession content design and strategy community.
This government community helps 800 content specialists and leaders to share ideas, solve problems, connect and work in the open.
Peter has helped embed content design for moneysmart.gov.au and served as product owner for stylemanual.gov.au.
