Responsible behaviour and consumption of alcohol:

We would like everyone to enjoy themselves and have fun. However, it doesn’t hurt to be reminded of behavioural expectations.

As a firm we have responsibilities to the health and wellbeing of all our people, and the Firm’s policies on appropriate workplace behaviour (found on Basil) apply at Firm functions. Please make sure:

• You respect our commitment to the responsible service of alcohol (don’t drink and drive)
• Treat your colleagues with courtesy
• Your treatment of others and the venue is respectful and considerate
• Look out for the wellbeing of your colleagues
• Be mindful to keep your wallets, purses, handbags and keys secure
• It’s always fun to take a photo or video of the festivities – but think twice before posting on social media
• You are responsible for getting yourself home after the celebration so please organise this in advance.

Please remember that this is a work function and our standards of behaviour should not change despite the festivities. The Firm’s policy on Respectful Workplace Behaviour and Code of Conduct applies at the function. You should review these prior to attending. If you intend on continuing the celebrations at a local venue, remember that these same standards of behaviour apply, even after you leave our premises.
