Event description

Our Foundation Training - 'It is ok to say it is hard' - Attachment, Neurodevelopment, Trauma Informed Training

Facilitated by Lisa Gardiner - Practice Development Specialist • New South Wales

This face to face training provides a fresh approach for you and your family when you are providing a caring environment for children and young people. All children and young people in care experience major attachment disruptions and relational trauma, this can have an impact on current and future relationships.

We will focus on gaining an understanding of how this may impact you and develop specific strategies and supports that you can use in your family, school and other settings. We welcome your insights, reflections, triggers, vulnerabilities and all that goes with raising children and young people. The course is based on current research, is practical and skills based and as much as possible will be tailored to carers and their needs.

Please note this is a face to face training and not available online.

Please reach out to your Social Worker if you require CYPSS support as soon as possible.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
