Event description

Join us in commemorating veterans and their families this Remembrance Day. For the past 100 years, Legacy has been dedicated to providing financial, social and emotional support to veterans' families.

To celebrate 100 years of Legacy, the Remembrance Day Lunch 2023 will be held at NSW Parliament House.

The event will include live entertainment, special guest speakers including Damien Thomlinson (a veteran of the Afghanistan war) and Master of Ceremonies, Gareth McCray OAM (popular radio broadcaster).

In the trenches of the Western Front during World War I, a soldier said to his dying mate “I’ll look after your family”. This became known as The Promise – and it is still kept today.

Legacy is a charity dedicated to supporting veterans' families. We are there for the long term, providing for the educational and development goals.

We help those we serve to grow and thrive despite adversity.

Australia-wide, Legacy supports 40,000 partners, children, and dependants of those who passed away or have been injured as a result of their service.
