Sydney-Melbourne Head & Neck Dissection Course

The Head & Neck Dissection Course with Fresh Frozen Cadavers will be held on Saturday 23 May 2026 (7:00 am–5:00 pm) and Sunday 24 May 2026 (8:00 am–4:00 pm) at the Macquarie University Anatomy Lab, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, Macquarie Park, NSW. 

There will be over 20 faculty members from major head and neck centres across NSW and VIC. The course will host 19 Dissectors and 10 Observers, offering hands-on surgical training across key head and neck procedures for the Dissectors, with observational learning for the Observers.

Topics include: 

• Laryngoscopy

• Thyroid surgery 

• Parotid surgery 

• Neck surgery 

• Local & Pedicle Flaps 

• Oral, Mandibular, and Maxillofacial surgery 

• Optional surgeries – plating, implant, facial nerve procedures 

Course cost:

• Dissectors: $2700

• Observers: $800
