This 4 hour workshop will help get your business moving on the pathway to becoming a Certified B Corporation (B Corp) and also help you understand the process and approach to certification. Open to all, this workshop will be aim to assist those in the financial services sector to be able to understand and unlock the value of certification for your business and specifically for your industry.

This workshop is an important step to take towards your business reaching the highest standards of social and environmental performance, and joining a 5000+ strong global business community.

Format:

Attend a four hour in-person workshop facilitated by two of our experienced B Lab consultants. Kirsty Simmonds and Rob Shwetz. Kirsty, having worked extensively in the sector at AMP, and Rob, having worked with retail banking in the media and marketing space, have worked with a range of businesses in the sector advising on the B Corp certification process, from wealth management through to smaller investment firms. The workshop will cover how to navigate the B Corp assessment, tips on how to tackle certain questions and how you can boost your score to hit the 80 points to certify, and industry specific opportunities and challenges highlighted through case studies.

Who should attend?

People that want to improve the social and environmental performance of their business and become Certified B Corporations
Financial service business leaders, executives in the sector and those with a specific sustainability mandate in their roles, ranging from smaller fintech and investment firms, though to large, multinational firms.

Before the session:

Complete this free online B Corp short course to learn about the B Corp movement and the process as this background content will not be covered in the session.

Create a B Impact Assessment account and attempt at least one section in the B Impact Assessment (we recommend starting with the Workers or Community sections)

Rob Shwetz

Rob is an accomplished business leader, bridging profit, purpose and commercial acumen for clients across multiple sectors in a 20+ year career. Having worked across multiple markets in his marketing and media career, Rob is a co-founder of The Growth Activists as a strategy consultancy that activates courageous organisations for a sustainable future and on their B Corp pathway. Having completed his MBA in Creative Leadership from the Berlin School, he is also actively involved in the non-profit sector, having held a non-executive board role with Results (International) Australia since 2018.
