Sydney Relateful Workshop

A 1-day Taster in Relatefulness

Relatefulness is a practice of meeting life together. We use real-time connection as the training ground for honesty, boundaries, and aliveness, guideposts toward more presence, truth, and love.

This one-day workshop is an entry point, a taste of some of the core moves and principles of Relatefulness, with plenty of time to practice, reflect, and integrate.

This workshop is for newcomers and experienced practitioners alike.

Relatefulness is the art of being human in contact. Presence is trained not in solitude, but in relationship, in speech, silence, boundaries, and the subtle moments we usually rush past.

Together we’ll explore questions like

What changes when we stop performing and start contacting?
How do we stay with truth without collapsing into politeness, or conflict?
How can connection become resourcing, not another thing to get right?
What happens when we let the room help carry what’s present?

Brave Space

We’re calling this a Brave Space, not because you’ll be pushed, but because the invitation is to show up more honestly than habit might prefer.

In a Brave Space:

you’re encouraged to stay close to your lived experience, rather than your “best version”
consent and boundaries are part of the practice, opting out is welcome
we value curiosity over certainty, and contact over fixing
difference is allowed to exist without being solved
impact matters as much as intent, and we repair when we miss each other

Expect a mix of guided practices in pairs, small groups, and as a whole group, with spacious pauses and co-learning. You don’t need experience, just a willingness to arrive as you are, and keep updating.

This is the first Relateful workshop of its kind in Australia, and the first time Thea and Ernst are bringing this work into a full-day container. We’re excited to share it with care, clarity, and a spirit of discovery.

What’s included

Two facilitators guiding the day
Tea + light snacks
BYO lunch (1-hour break)
Limited places (small group container)

Ticket pricing: We offer a few different ticket types to keep the workshop accessible. Prices range from $85 to $185. If you can, choosing Standard or Supporter helps subsidise concession and community tickets.

A note on the space: This is a relational practice workshop, not group therapy. You’re always welcome to care for your boundaries, pass on any exercise, and participate at your own pace.

Thea Kremser

Thea has been devoted to this family of dynamic relational awareness practices for over a decade. She was first introduced to Circling through Khali Young and later Damien Bohler in Sydney.

She is currently a facilitator, coach, and Head of Oceania at The Relateful Company, where she has been facilitating for more than five years. Prior to joining The Relateful Company, she trained with Transformational Connection (formerly Circling Europe), certifying through the SAS program with John Thompson and Jordan Myska Allen. She has also completed ART Level 1 with Ryel Kestano through ART International.

Thea’s facilitation style is precise and relationally attuned, oriented toward real-time truth, ethical contact, and sustainable depth, privileging clarity over performance and presence over technique.

Ernst Beyerle

Ernst is a facilitator in the relational arts, a being in motion, recently returning to Australia after several years living and hosting relational community spaces on the west coast of Sweden. He first found his way into this family of practices through a partner deeply embedded in the community, and was captivated by what happens when we let relationship show us the truth in real time, where attention lands, what the body knows, what honesty makes possible.

He trained with Transformational Connection (formerly Circling Europe), certifying through the SAS program with John Thompson, Michael Blas, and Ellen Waenink, and has also completed ART Level 1 through ART International. His work is further shaped by Nature Awareness practice and Vipassana meditation, bringing a devotion to presence that is both grounded and quietly radical.

Ernst is arriving back in Australia with a wish to root, to offer what he’s learned, and to help cultivate spaces where our edges can be met with care, where the weight of doing it alone can soften, and where love and truth have room to appear.

Venue

The day will take place at an intimate South Maroubra venue with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. There are indoor and garden areas, allowing for spaciousness and ease throughout the day.

There is ample unlimited street parking, and convenient access via multiple bus routes. We will be an easy walk to Maroubra shops and cafés, the beach, and the park.
