WHAT TO EXPECT

Walking around Darling Harbour is one of the best ways to experience Sydney, and there’s something for everyone. Here are some of the highlights you won’t want to miss:

Darling Harbour is known for its beautiful waterfront setting, magnificent boat and the iconic Sydney skyline. Whether you're strolling along the promenade or relaxing by the water, you'll be treated to panoramic views that are perfect for photos.

The area has a lively, dynamic feel, especially on weekends and holidays. With street performers, outdoor cafes, and people out enjoying the space. It’s a great place to soak up the energy of the city.

There are several green spaces around Darling Harbour, such as the Chinese Garden of Friendship, which provides a peaceful escape from the bustle of the city. The gardens are beautifully landscaped with waterfalls, koi ponds, and traditional Chinese architecture, offering a serene spot to relax and unwind.

As the day winds down, Darling Harbour transforms. Watching the sun set behind the skyscrapers, with the light reflecting off the water, is an unforgettable experience. Grab a drink or some gelato and enjoy a peaceful walk along the harbourside as the city lights begin to twinkle.

The trail is roughly 9km and should take around 2.5 hours to complete depending on our pace and we will gather at the pub afterwards (location TBA) for a drink and possibly dinner.

All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event. The walk is mostly flat and on concrete footpaths.

This walk is a real showstopper boasting some of the best views Sydney has to offer!

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

Meeting Location: Elements bar and grill - Out the front

Meeting Time: Arrive 7:00pm for a strict 7:15pm Departure.

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 1-2L)

- Snack food for the hike

- Money for pub afterwards

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable Walking Shoes

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather on the day).

- Hat / Beanie

FINISH

The Hike should take around 2.5 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing.

We will finish the walk at the opera house so if you're parked at the beginning ensure you can find your way back.
