WHAT TO EXPECT

Walking from the Sydney Botanic Gardens to Darling Harbour is an unforgettable experience that offers a perfect blend of nature, iconic landmarks, and beautiful views.

1. Breathtaking Views of Sydney’s Harbour:
Starting in the Royal Botanic Garden, you’ll be treated to some of the best views of Sydney Harbour. As you stroll along the path, you'll get iconic glimpses of the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the sparkling blue waters of the harbor. It's a photographer's paradise, with every turn offering a new perspective.

2. A Relaxing Escape in Nature:
The Botanic Gardens are a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. You’ll be surrounded by lush greenery, exotic plants, and fragrant flowers. The sound of birds singing and the gentle rustling of leaves creates a calming atmosphere. It’s a nice break from the urban hustle and bustle!

3. Beautiful Coastal Walk:
The walk itself is scenic and diverse. You’ll pass by lovely coves, beaches, and small harbors along the coastline, with views of the city skyline and natural landscapes blending perfectly. The stroll is generally easy, with plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the surroundings.

As you approach Darling Harbour, the energy shifts. The area is filled with lively attractions, restaurants, cafes, and shopping. It's the perfect place to unwind after your walk, enjoy some local food, or take a boat ride around the harbor.

All in all, walking from the Royal Botanic Garden to Darling Harbour is a fantastic way to experience both the tranquility of Sydney’s natural beauty and the vibrancy of its waterfront lifestyle. It’s an ideal way to spend a few hours soaking in the best of what Sydney has to offer!

The trail is roughly 9km and should take around 3.5 hours to complete depending on our pace and we will gather at the pub afterwards (location TBA) for a drink and possibly dinner.

This walk is a real showstopper boasting some of the best views Sydney has to offer!

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

Meeting Location: Governor Phillips Fountain

Meeting Time: Arrive 7:00pm for a strict 7:20pm Departure.

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 1-2L)

- Snack food for the hike

- Money for pub afterwards

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable Walking Shoes

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather on the day).

- Hat / Beanie

FINISH

The Hike should take around 3.5 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing.

We will finish the walk at the Darling Harbour so if you're parked at the beginning ensure you can find your way back.
