    Event description

    The Gallery of the Boardroom

An Un-mastered Governance Colloquium for Heads.

Can the complexities of modern governance be creatively translated?

How might the lens of art appreciation bring fresh perspectives to the dynamics of the boardroom?

Where there’s light there’s shadow. Can the basic elements of design and interpretation illuminate the tonal range of board culture? How does individual bias and group think impact clear decision making? The Head as observer and the observed?

These questions will be explored in our first one-day colloquium at the Chau Chak Wing Museum at the University of Sydney. On Gadigal land, the Museum is a splendid, multidisciplinary space sharing the University’s extensive collection with the wider community.

The Gallery of the Board Room is an initiative of Future Leadership and AHISA. Guided by Dr Amanda Bell AM and Dr Chris Duncan, this series of one-day colloquia is an innovative approach to understanding and influencing in the dynamics of boards and a timely, creative departure from the mechanics of school governance.

Places for the inaugural colloquium are strictly limited and registrations are open to *AHISA Members from all states.

We look forward to working with you in this refreshing new approach to innovative and creative leadership in the board room.
