Sydney University Musical Society Presents: Ripples and Reveries

Sydney University Musical Society (SUMS) is proud to present our first concert of 2025, "Ripples and Reveries"! We will be performing on Saturday May 17th at 6:30pm, in the Pitt Street Uniting Church.

Our concert will weave a selection of historical and contemporary pieces all intertwined in an evening filled with colour and delight. Our historical works feature music from Shakespeare’s The Tempest, Cymbeline, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and contemporary composers also shine as we perform Morten Lauridsen’s arrangement of the beloved ‘Sure on this Shining Night’, along with other more recent works. From being lost in the reverie of ‘Heart We Will Forget Him’ by Bradley Ellingboe to finding peace in Sarah Quartel’s ‘Ripple Effect’, this evening is not one to forget.
