Dr I-Ferne Tan is a Sydney-based gynaecologist who specialises in fertility and minimally invasive surgery. She is a dedicated women’s rights advocate and is passionate about health literacy and gender equality. Through education and fostering discussion around women’s health issues, she aims to empower women of all ages to take charge of their health and control the narrative surrounding gender discrimination.

During the week, you can find I-Ferne at her busy private practice, lecturing medical students, training junior doctors to become specialist gynaecologists, or at the public gynaecology clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital.

I-Ferne is the proud mum of 2 strong-minded young girls who she hopes will one day grow into confident and assertive young women. She dreams of a future where her daughters are free to live their best life, without a second thought for their gender.
