Description
SYG 2026: SPARK
ONE HUGE WEEKEND OF SPORT, COMMUNITY, AND FUN!
State Youth Games is a weekend sport and art event for high schoolers and young adults from across Victoria with around 40 groups totalling over 2,500 attendees. Spend the June Long Weekend camping with your friends and playing a range of casual and competitive sports. Experience world-class musical worship with huge energy. Explore faith in community in a no-pressure environment alongside trusted friends. State Youth Games is camping, sport, art, community, and faith. But most importantly, State Youth Games is what you make of it.
This ticketing is to attend SYG with Gateway Church, Seaford
THIS IS STEP ONE OF REGISTRATION
Once you complete step one, please finish step two afterwards. https://sygrego.com/mysyg/gatewayyouth/signup
How does it all work?
Participants will be camping at Lardner Park (tents provided), just outside Warragul, and events will be held in various sporting venues around Warragul and Drouin.
Everyone will be travelling to and from SYG and the daily sport sessions by carpool with youth team volunteers. Any driver responsible for the transport of other SYG participants at any point during the event will have a minimum of their green P’s, but parents/carers of youth can nominate the minimum driving experience required for a driver of their youth during registration - any further requests regarding drivers are welcomed at youth@gateway.asn.au
You'll get your team merch on Friday night before we head off. Once we get to the site, you can get your spot in your tent setup and we'll have a team meeting to go over the plan for the next day. There's an event each evening, with a band and speaker, which we all go to as a group.
Participants meals (Friday Supper through to Monday Lunch) are provided at our campsite by our valued volunteer cooks (who we love to thank!). At team members discretion, some sports groups may make unscheduled Maccas runs so a little spending money isn't a bad idea, although it isn't required (the provided meals are filling and yum, but who doesn't like a cheeky Maccas run?).
Drop off and pick up
We will be departing from 14 Heversham Drive on Friday the 6th June and travelling via carpool to Lardner Park after Youth (which runs from 7:00pm - 9pm). We will be returning by 2pm on Monday the 9th June, to the same location.
Merch
All registrations include this years team shirt to wear as a team identifier during sports. There's a new design for the shirt every year.
Hoodies are available as an add-on, but to try and make life a tiny bit easier for families, our hoodie is the same design as last year so if you have one, you can use it again this year!
Beanies are also available as an add-on this year, and in a similar way as hoodies, we'll be selling the exact same beanie design for at least a few years so you can get one now and get a few years use out of it!
More information will be provided via email closer to the event, including a packing list.
In the meantime, if you need to get in contact with any questions/concerns/requests, these are welcomed at youth@gateway.asn.au
