Enjoy a nurturing evening deepening our relationships through creative expression honoring nature, perspective, and presence.

You are invited to join the Symbiocene Spiral Visions workshop as part of Karen Hopkins' Symbioscenes Art Exhibition. 

WORKSHOP DETAILS

Artist Karen Hopkins and Ecopsychologist Deb Punton take you on a journey to explore nature, art, and connection with our natural world and each other using Eco-Art methods. 

Come on an evolving spiral eco-art journey. Honour inspiring visions, strengthened and supported by nature and our community. 

The Work That Reconnects is based in the teachings of Joanna Macy and follows a Spiral of practices: Gratitude, Honoring Our Pain for the World, Seeing with New Eyes, and Going Forth. We will work with the spiral, nature and creativity in this nourishing workshop.

$25 per person. We have a class minimum of 6 to meet, if we do not make them and need to cancel a class and offer you a full refund.

  • Expect an email one week prior to the gathering confirming the workshop details and current COVID protocols. If you are unwell, please do not attend, invite a friend to take your place!
  • BYO: Please bring a water bottle and snack if you desire, a notepad and pen if you want to make notes
  • Please be on time as we will start the workshop promptly at 6:30pm

    Karen studied Eco-Art Therapy in 2018 and along with Deb participated in the 2018 Gasworks From Nature Sculpture Exhibition

    Deb Punton - Greensong is an ecopsychologist, eco-art therapy facilitator, environment educator, and permaculture landscape designer. She facilitates workshops and events on-line and in-person with themes of developing and strengthening our relationships with each other and our natural world.     Karen Hopkins is a Melbourne-based professional artist. She has held exhibitions annually and has artworks in collections nationally and internationally. See more about Karen and her artwork at www.karenhopkinsart.com and visit her current 'Symbioscenes' solo exhibition of paintings, poetry, and sculptures on June 28th - July 25th at Gasworks Art Park Port Melbourne. The Symbioscenes exhibition is inspired by our symbiotic relationship with the earth its fragile ecosystems and its relationship to our inner and outer worlds and explores through artwork poetry and sculpture the importance of living together with respect for the earth and all life in an ever-changing world. The word Symbiocene was created by Glen Albrecht and describes a concept for a new era of human history affirming the interconnection, companionship, and mutual interdependence of all life living together for mutual benefit and nurtured by humans.

    ADDITIONAL FREE EVENT: Tree is Life Storytelling: Saturday 17th July, 2021.1-3pm at The Gasworks Art Park Angela Robarts - Bird Gallery. (No bookings required)  
    Join ceramic artist Ursula Dutkiewicz to view the large “Tree is Life” artwork banner and hear the story of how this project funds the planting of trees. You will also have the opportunity to purchase a clay heart!
