In collaboration with Canberra Museum and Gallery and The Australian National University. Join us for a discussion about design legacies in Canberra with artists who are leaders in the fields of glass, jewellery and object design. Celebrating two outstanding artists and their major survey exhibitions at CMAG, Blanche Tilden’s Ripple Effect, and Tom Moore’s Abundant Wonder, both began their careers in Canberra at the ANU Glass workshop at School of Art & Design (SOAD), and who have gone on to become critically acclaimed artists and leaders in their field. In conversation with Jason Smith, Geelong Gallery Director and CEO, Blanche and Tom will reveal their vision, influences, inspiration that drives their practice, while reflecting upon their experiences of living and working in Canberra before hitting the world stage.
