Syrian Baklava (Sweet Pastry)
Event description
Baklava is a very common sweet, filled with nuts and syrup, found throughout the Middle East. In this workshop Basema will teach you how to make the Syrian version of this yummy treat - from scratch!
Basema has been living in Tasmania for 7 years. She has a passion for teaching and mentoring, having been a teacher in her home country, Syria, for 25 years. She is passionate about sharing her culture through food and has recently launched her own catering business.
Please advise of dietary requirements at checkout. Please note that some dietary requirements may not be able to be met due to the nature of this cuisine. Get in touch with us if you have any concerns or queries about dietary requirements.
Don't forget to bring a takeaway container to take home any leftovers!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please arrive on time - or better yet, a little early, as all sessions will start on time. There will be coffee and tea available while you wait, and you may even get to see the results of other workshops!
