Join TAC for an interactive, face-to-face regional roadshow designed to support RTOs in understanding and applying the Registration Standards 2025 (2025 Standards).

This event features three practical workshops, each focusing on different aspects of the 2025 Standards. Workshops are scheduled as separate sessions, allowing participants to pick and choose which ones to attend based on interest and availability. Please indicate during registration if you will also be attending lunch.

AGENDA:

9:30-10:40am - Workshop 1: Delivering Quality Training that Supports Student Progression

This one-hour workshop provides practical strategies for designing and delivering training that meets Outcome Standard 1.1 of the 2025 Standards. The workshop will unpack what auditors look for when assessing training delivery, including how to ensure sessions are engaging, clearly structured, and paced to support student progression. Participants will explore practical approaches to planning and sequencing learning activities, managing time for instruction and practice, and creating evidence that demonstrates compliance.

11:00-12:00pm - Workshop 2: Reasonable Adjustment vs Diversity, Inclusion and Wellness

This one-hour workshop provides practical guidance on understanding the legal and compliance requirements for reasonable adjustment under the 2025 Standards, and how these differ from broader concepts such as diversity, inclusion, and wellness. The workshop will clarify what auditors look for when assessing reasonable adjustment, explore common misconceptions, and offer strategies for implementing adjustments that support equitable access without compromising assessment integrity. Participants will leave with clear, actionable insights and tools to strengthen compliance while fostering inclusive training environments.

1:00-2:00pm - Workshop 3: Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

This one-hour workshop explores how Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) can support learner pathways while maintaining the integrity of outcomes and compliance with the 2025 Standards. The workshop will clarify what auditors look for in RPL processes, address common challenges, and provide practical strategies for ensuring assessments are valid, reliable, and equitable. Participants will gain tools and examples to strengthen RPL practices, enhance student access, and demonstrate compliance with the 2025 Standards.

ADDITIONAL SESSION

2:30 - 3:30pm - Apprenticeship Office Information Session

The Department of Training and Workforce Development Apprenticeship Office registers and administers training contracts, and regulates the apprenticeship system in Western Australia. The Apprenticeship Office will be providing a session following TAC's Roadshow on Apprenticeship/Traineeship training contracts and information about guidelines and processes that apply to apprenticeships and traineeships in WA. All further information regarding this session will be sent by the Apprenticeship Office.
