The Fair Trade Changemaker Tour is all about giving you the power to create the change you want to see in the world. A part of a series of events, we bring you a thought-provoking international panel discussion on what is driving modern slavery and how we, as consumers and businesses can address the root causes. Through the expertise of our panel and key note speaker on the topics of Fair Trade and modern slavery, we will look at how we can build and support an ecosystem of ethical and Fair Trade enterprises that foster meaningful change.

Meet the Panel:

Mitos Urgel (Thailand) - Key Note
President of World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO) Asia & CEO of WEAVE Fair Trade in Thailand. Mitos represents 120 Fair Trade social enterprises in the Asia region and for 25 years has worked to advance the rights and livelihoods of women refugees on the Thai/ Myanmar border.

Elly Williams - Key Note
Research and measurement specialist at Walk Free, an international human rights organisation focused on the eradication of modern slavery. Elly is an author of the 2023 Global Slavery Index, the world's most comprehensive data set on modern slavery.

Robert Roberts
Managing Director of Fair Go Trading, one of Australia's leading Fair Trade enterprises. Robert will share how to grow a successful enterprise that puts the people behind the products at the centre.

Co- founder of Fairtrade Freo and the W.A. Fairtrade Collective. Shona is a mother, changemaker, environmental activist, social justice advocate, community organiser and lifelong campaigner for Fair Trade and sustainable food systems

MC - Antonia Taylor
Worked for over 15 years’ in the Fair Trade sector including for Oxfam and founded a Cambodian social enterprises that created livelihoods for survivors of trafficking. She is currently the Secretary of Fair Trade Association of ANZ & Founder of ethical trading brand Fair Space.
