"Twenty years of decorating and two twenty-foot shipping containers later – it’s time to say farewell to my “precious inventory”. Trust me when I say my husband will not be shedding any tears over my clearing out our storage. Everything will be for sale (maybe even my husband…ha!) That said, even I am excited to unpack twenty years of collecting waaaaaaaay too many things and start anew. There will be tables, chairs, mirrors, hurricanes, light fixtures, artwork, baskets, cachepots, accessories, books - You name it! Your guess is as good as mine as to what I will uncover. Stay tuned!"

"After considering being on an episode of “Hoarders” we have opted instead to be a part of the First Annual Clove Brook Farm Tag Sale. A passion for collecting has been years of fun with the thrill of the hunt. It is now time to let some things go to new homes and the next generation of collectors.

Included in the sale will be items ranging from chairs, tables, desk , ottomans, pictures, mirrors, lighting, wicker furniture, porcelains, garden accessories and much more. Please come and join the fun amidst a beautiful setting and find your next treasure. Hope to see you there!"

"As designers, we are constantly building ‘castles in the sky’ as I call them, imaginary projects for ourselves or for clients--that beach shack, that ski chalet, etc. And on our way to shows, exhibits, auctions, stores and most dangerously online, we find objects to go into these projects and purchase them.

We did a thorough inventory at Harry Heissmann Inc. and came up with some wonderful items for the Clove Brook tag sale. I will have an edited selection for sale, including items that used to belong to my mentor Albert Hadley and artist Jeremiah Goodman amongst others.

Can’t wait to see you there!"

"After succumbing to the temptation of over-collecting throughout my interior design career, it will be a bittersweet departure from a few of my favorite antique and vintage finds! We’re joining the first annual Clove Brook Farm Tag Sale, sharing finds ranging from fabric remnants to tabletop to vintage furniture. Come enjoy the hunt and find your next antique obsession. Hope to see you there!"

"Now that I've been running my garden + home store, Orangerie, in Millbrook for three years, there are always extra chic items that need to go off to good homes. I'll be selling some surplus items from the shop, as well as some items from my former apartment in New York now that I spend most of my time in Millbrook. There may even be some fun plants thrown into the mix!"

"As a long time collector and congenital buyer I have bought but I can’t find homes for. I'll have garden antiques, a beautiful clear antique glass bell jar lantern, creamware plates and maybe a few chairs if I can be forced to part with them!"

Nick Olsen & Sam Bowman

Nick Olsen and Sam Bowman

"When Nick Olsen moved to his first walk-up apartment in Manhattan twenty years ago, his roommate quipped "Well, it looks like you brought the whole yard sale with you." Four moves and countless purchases later, he met his partner Sam Bowman and they started their blended family of adopted chairs. Now, faced with an ongoing (and teensy bit expensive!) renovation at #TheDutchessFolly, they must literally clear a path for new upstairs plumbing. Their loss is your gain! Please give the precious babies--chairs, artworks, lamps, books, you name it--a happy new home, while ogling the perfection that is Clove Brook Farm."

BellandPreston

BellandPreston

"BellandPreston (David Bell and Tom Preston) are thrilled to participate in the inaugural Clove Brook Farm Tag Sale! Our brand is forged in presenting a compelling decorative mix of antique items and objects that create a dialogue through shape, color, or form regardless of time period or region, informed by our backgrounds in the fine arts and interior design. This identity has been established over the last 25 years as veteran show dealers selling to top national interior designers and retail customers alike, as well as a strong online selling presence.

As usual, we plan on bringing to the show a chic, varied mix of tabletop objects, small occasional furniture, artwork, lighting, etc. In other words- things we know you won’t be able to live without!

We can’t wait to see you!"

Kate Rheinstein Brodsky
