Join us to create, sew, sing, and share stories for the creation of Tahlila: Lullabies under the stars.

Do you have a lullaby to share, a story you tell before bedtime, or a drawing that you scribbled in your dreams? You will get to experience a taste of Tahlila by hearing songs and stories, and by adding your own creativity by sewing.

Saturday 20th November - If you can, bring some squares of fabric - we will sew these into the canopy to create a shared space that will host our community’s stories and lullabies. Sewing materials and fabric will be provided.

Sunday 21st November - The building continues! Tahlila, lullabies shared in Arabic and English.

This is an open, fun event for all ages and families. All are welcome to drop in at any time, to play, create, or watch and enjoy. This workshop is a lead up to the full event that will be presented in 2022: you will be helping us this year in creating the canopy under which we will dream.

Please note that as an arts and cultural precinct, anyone visiting the Abbotsford Convent Precinct over the age of 16 will need to be fully vaccinated (unless a lawful exemption applies). Children under the age of 16 are exempt.
